Volunteer
We are looking for volunteers interested in helping supervise our makerspace community. Responsibilities include spreading enthusiasm for making, giving people advice on their projects when they ask and helping people stay safe while using our tools. While the most significant benefit comes from becoming part of our community, volunteers can also gain access to the spaces and tools.
While we would love to get help from already experienced makers, we would also be more than excited to help you, as a volunteer, become an experienced maker yourself!

Expectations of a Volunteer:
Log at least 4 hours per month volunteering in the makerspaces in any number of capacities
Willingness to learn from others
Excited about teaching, accepting of diversity
Attend quarterly meetings
Familiarity with working in a shared environment
Desire to assist in building a shop and educational makerspace community
Additionally, there are many tasks we could use help and advice on outside of manufacturing. These include:
Website updates and developing content
Contributing to our marketing committee
Equipment repair and maintenance, shops oversight
Help with a construction/deconstruction project
Manage and organize a shop improvement project
Assist with various programs, workshops and classes
Machine shop support and supervision
3D printing project design support and printer operation.
Or even teach! Everyone has some bit of knowledge worth sharing :)
